My name is Krista, and I’m the founder of LOST&FOUND Skin Lab. Like so many, my journey began with a struggle; One that shaped not just my skin, but my entire approach to self-care.

Why I Created LOST&FOUND Skin Lab

In my early twenties, I battled relentless acne. Every morning when I'd wake up, I’d rush to the mirror hoping for miraculously clear skin, only to be met with new breakouts, scars, and redness. The emotional toll was heavy; I avoided photos, covered up with makeup and hats, and felt like my skin was working against me at every turn.

I tried every over the counter acne treatment and blue-and-white “sensitive skin care” product I could find, but nothing seemed to work. Harsher acne-specific ingredients left my skin even more inflamed, while gentler options didn’t address my congestion, oiliness, or hyperpigmentation.

Dermatologists either offered medication or told me "it's normal, everyone goes through it". I wasn’t ready for the side effects of the medication, and just because acne is common doesn't mean it is normal or that we should have to suffer with it for an undetermined amount of time.

Bridging Science and Nature for Real Results

As a physiotherapist, I understood the body’s natural ability to heal, if given the right support. I started to wonder: could I create a science-backed skincare solution that was both gentle and effective for people with acne-prone and sensitive skin?
